Nostalgic Image of Candlestick Park_X4A6526.jpg
A fine art historical image of Candlestick Park, once home to the San Francisco Giants baseball team and 49ers football team. The stadium was built on and named after Candlestick Point on the San Francisco peninsula. Built in 1958, it had 45,000 seats, expanded to 61,000 in 1971. The 1989 World Series was halted 31 minutes before the first pitch due to the Loma Prieta earthquake. The stadium was demolished in the winter of 2015.
